With over 40 years of practical, broad-based experience, Jennifer has been providing technical assistance to a diverse range of organizations. She has assisted client companies, associations, and organizations in developing strategic initiatives to tackle emerging issues. Jennifer's role as a facilitator and guide has allowed her to provide ongoing technical assistance throughout these processes.
Training and Development Processes
A true expert in learning and development development processes, Jennifer has designed and delivered a wide range of formal and informal training programs. Her experience extends to training staff, boards of directors, and volunteers. Jennifer has also trained trainers and facilitators in various specialized areas.
DEIAB Processes and Initiatives
In the realm of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Jennifer has developed groundbreaking processes, initiatives, and programs. Many of these have been successfully introduced across entire organizations and companies. She is a certified facilitator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). "A widely used and effective cross-culturally valid assessment for building culture competence. "
Community Planning and Revitalization
Jennifer also serves as a technical advisor to various collaboratives, alliances, associations, and local community development corporations. She has played a pivotal role in community planning and revitalization efforts, spearheading community-wide initiatives and engaging community leaders and volunteers to strengthen their organizations and, ultimately, their communities.
Consultation and Thought Leadership
Jennifer serves as a consultant to the Center for Nonprofit Leadership at Adelphi University's School of Social Work. She is the Program Coordinator for "Leading in Community," a certificate program for emerging leaders of color. Jennifer designed the curriculum and served as faculty for the Center's "Excellence in Nonprofit Management" program and the "Rise Academy for Emerging Leaders of Color," an award-winning certificate program by Youth INC.
National and International Collaborations
Jennifer's professional journey includes being a Charter Senior Associate of the National Center for Nonprofit Boards (now known as BoardSource). She has traveled extensively, collaborating with organizational and association leadership, including board members and those who support boards, both domestically and internationally.
Education and Board Experience
Jennifer holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Psychology, combining her expertise in business and human behavior. With her valuable experience serving on several Boards of Directors, Jennifer truly understands the intricacies of effective governance.
Publications
Jennifer's passion for writing has led her to be a contributing writer for several publications. She has also authored "Building Board Diversity," the first research-based publication of its kind.
